The Liberty Fire Company #4 of Schuylkill Haven agreed Tuesday to purchase a 2007 International/4-Guys 3,000 tanker from Atlantic Emergency Solutions. The new-to-us tanker previously served in Loudon County, Virginia, and will replace our 1992 International/4-Guys 2,000 tanker that has served us well for the past 32 years. The new unit has a 1,500 gpm pump and much more horsepower than our current tanker, allowing us to bring more water faster to the rural sections of our coverage area.

There is still some work to be done in-house to get the new tanker ready and it needs to be painted before putting into service. We’d like to thank the members of the Schuylkill Haven community who have faithfully attended our fundraisers that helped us raise the money to make this purchase possible and Bailey Buchanan of Atlantic Emergency Solutions for his time and effort in helping us upgrade our fleet.
